Three and a half weeks of camp life in SoCal are over 😎 I had a great time with my friend Steffi from Switzerland. We first met a year ago in Baja, then ran into them again in Anchorage last summer and kept contact. I told them that we'll spend a couple of weeks at an RV park.near Salton Sea with thermal pools, yoga classes, and all kinds of activities, and they got hooked. Our husbands worked on the trucks while we did some sewing and lots of chatting, of course. Steffi made me a lovely pair of beaded earrings, and I, in return, made her a pot holder or coaster with one of my embroidery pieces. As we're headed to Baja again now and they are going to Texas, our paths are separating again for a long while. Who knows, we might meet again in the summer up in the midwest or Canada.

This was a nice quick make 😃 I have small leftover pieces of #softandstable and wondered what to do. I've been wanting to make a little caddy for my handstitching notions for a while and finally put the pieces and the lovely fabric by @aneelahoey to good use. It's just the right size. The weather was perfect to sit outside in the shade. I watched my friend and Camp neighbor Steffi working on the laptop while my husband worked on the truck. A day well spent.

It's #friyay and January is almost over - how did

It's #friyay and January is almost over - how did that happen? We're spending a few weeks in sunny southern California after a busy start into 2025. I haven't done any sewing so far, but I definitely have a few things on the list. Maybe I'll get my stuff set up today or tomorrow as the weather gets a bit warmer. Meanwhile, I have a couple of crochet projects in the works and made fringe earrings. I am always enjoying some crafts I can do without a big setup.

The most wonderful, adventurous, exciting year co

The most wonderful, adventurous, exciting year comes to an end, and I feel blessed to be able to spend my life traveling and being creative in many ways on our journey 🙏💓 life isn't always easy and I have quite some issues to solve in Germany from afar. But with a positive mindset, the right balance, and the help of the right people (my husband at first place of course) it's all manageable. Thus, I'm looking forward to an even better year of 2025 with new adventures in North and South America, eventually 😀 thank you all for following along 🥰😘
